I hear a lot that African-American's need to "stay true to their roots", and constantly speak about how they're African and always have been...Well, let's take a look at that. According to genomic research, there is a large divide, where a typical African American can have anywhere from only 1% original African origin, to as high as 99%.
Obviously, those are the two extremes of the spectrum, so what do they say is the median ad-mixture rate? They state that on average, African American's are made up 19% European ad-mixture, a whopping 1/5th of their total DNA. So just remember all you ebonies out there, your beauty isn't JUST from Africa, and there's nothing wrong with feeling more attracted to whites than blacks...After all, it's in your DNA ;)
The comparisons themselves were taken mostly from African American women and compared directly to tribal, or native African women.
