Ali MacGraw

Ali MacGraw (b. 1939) is an American actress. I first became aware of her in the 1970s when she was known for her roles in such films as Love Story (1970). What I didn’t know was that before her time on the screen, and to a certain degree, after, she was much in demand as a photographer’s model. She somehow managed to combine the appeal of the girl-next-door with that of a sixties young sophisticate. She is still active today, both on the screen and as an animal welfare activist.
