A wrestler, a singer, a dancer, a model and an actress, Mimi Hagiwara was one of the first Japanese women's wrestling superstars. Born in Tokyo, Japan 6th Feb 1956. Mimi was a star in All Japan Women in the late 70s and early 80s. She was immensely popular, famed for her beauty and marketable crossover appeal. Despite her petite size, she was a highly skilled wrestler holding her own credibly against larger opponents. She was nimble and technically proficient, a fun all-rounder. Her prior acting training helped her emote some of the best facial expressions in matches whenever giving a dramatic performance or playing a babyface in peril. While not a top main eventer, she was a 2-time All Pacific Champion (the most important secondary title in AJW) and one half of the 3WA Tag Team Champions.
